Today I had 13 hours in Singapore in what is hopefully my final visa run for Indonesia. I’d really hoped to have my KITAS sorted by now, but bureaucracy has other ideas. Landing at 0200 and leaving at 1500 meant I did my usual: find a quiet place and sleep in the airport. Changi is easily one of the better airports for finding places to sleep, especially if staying airside.
So, as always when I’m at Changi, I go and have a wander… see what new quirk I can find (nothing of note this time, perhaps that says how much time I’ve spent here), pop into the Apple Store (this time to confirm what I suspect — the microphones on my AirPods are knackered), grab Kaya Toast from Ya Kun, and do some work. A classic Singaporean visa run.
So this week’s song choice was a tired choice… just something I’d randomly added via Shazam recently, but it really matched the mood of my day. Something about its hazy, low-lit feel matched the moment.
